STRETCH MARKS TREATMENT
What Are Stretch Marks?
Stretch marks are an issue for 70% of women and men worldwide. The skin has the property of being elastic, but the supporting tissues can be damaged if overstretched too quickly. This rapid expansion can lead to the appearance of stretch marks. Up to 90% of women develop stretch marks during pregnancy. However, they can affect people of almost all ages and skin types. They often appear during periods of growth and body changes, such as significant weight gain, puberty, and extreme muscle building. Stretch marks are common on almost the entire body, but they most frequently affect the abdomen, buttocks, and the inner arms.
How to Combat Stretch Marks?
Many people use creams, and Aesthetic Medicine offers powerful lasers. The method I successfully apply in my practice is Stretch Marks Treatment. It works on the principle of Micropigmentation and uses a permanent makeup machine with disposable sterile needles consisting of 7 micro-needles. With repeated movements and controlled skin injury down to the dermis level, we stimulate the production of collagen and elastin, accelerating the healing process. Simultaneously, we infuse the skin with a serum from the Vital Skin cosmetic series by Amiea. The manufacturer MT.DERM is a global leader with its own factory in Berlin, holding a medical quality certificate. The cocktail we use is for cell rejuvenation, composed of a few but very powerful ingredients, one of which is Edelweiss extract, which heals the skin, moisturizes, and helps form healthy skin. It contains no parabens, silicones, mineral oils, or preservatives.
The procedure causes mild discomfort, but there is no need for primary anesthesia. To achieve a good final result, 2 to 4 sessions are required at intervals of 40 days. Once we achieve the desired skin regeneration and smoothing, we can apply Medical Camouflage to visually even out the skin tone. You can find detailed information about this procedure in the Medical Camouflage section.

Recovery Period and Aftercare
- Immediately after the procedure, the skin will be quite red, painful, and swollen.
- When you get home, it is recommended to wash the area with cold or lukewarm water, pat dry, and apply Bepanthen. You can repeat this several times throughout the day. Washing is necessary to cleanse the lymph, while applying Bepanthen soothes and hydrates the skin. If there is greater discomfort, you can apply ice for 10 minutes every 2 hours.
- The next day, the skin will still be red. After the third day, the treated stretch marks will start to heal, which will be accompanied by itching. You can continue to apply Bepanthen.
- Breastfeeding
- Psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, or eczema in the treated area
- After the seventh day, regeneration will begin, and the stretch marks will pigment to a darker color. They will be fully healed and ready for the next procedure after 40 days.
Important!
For ten days after the procedure, you should not visit the beach, sauna, steam bath, or pool, and you should avoid direct sunlight and tanning beds!
