CAMOUFLAGE

What is Camouflage?

Scars, stretch marks, dark circles under the eyes, vitiligo, and other skin imperfections can not only be unappealing but also significantly affect the self-esteem of many people.

Medical camouflage allows:

  • To visually mask skin imperfections
  • To visually even out the skin tone, correct microtexture, and make it smoother and more uniform.

The camouflage technique is an innovative method practiced worldwide. Using special needles, camouflage pigments, and techniques depending on the issue, we introduce color close to the natural skin tone, evening it out. Working with such delicate areas, we as trained experts must take into account many nuances and specifics.

Pigments used for the Camouflage procedure

What pigments do I work with?

First, I want to introduce you to the pigments we use from Amiea's camouflage series. Amiea is part of MT.DERM, a world leader in permanent makeup systems. For more than 20 years, systems, needle modules, and pigments have been developed and produced in their factory in Berlin under the highest quality standards. The camouflage pigments are medically certified, allowing us to safely implant them into the skin, as we, certified Medical Camouflage specialists, are deeply committed to the health care of our clients.

Attention!
In Medical Camouflage, pigments for permanent makeup and tattoos are not used.

Properly trained experts are responsible for delicately applying the pigment to the surface layer of the skin — the epidermis, making the procedure non-invasive and completely painless. That's why we work with gradual layering, tone on tone with the skin, requiring 2 to 4 sessions to achieve 100% results. A professionally executed procedure guarantees maximum natural lightening over time without unwanted shades in yellow, orange, or gray, which is common for tattoos. That is why we perform Medical Camouflage, not Tattooing.

Advantages:

  • Maximum safety
  • No risk of hyperpigmentation
  • Short recovery period

When is Medical Camouflage needed?

Medical camouflage is applied in the following cases:

  • Scars from surgeries, including laparoscopic
  • Scars from C-section
  • Scars from plastic and aesthetic surgeries, including facelift, rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty, breast surgeries, liposuction
  • All types of normotrophic scars
  • Scars from laser tattoo removal
  • Scars from thermal or chemical burns (on the face or body)
  • Stretch marks
  • Post-acne scars
  • Consequences of animal bites and cat scratches

When is Aesthetic Camouflage needed?

  • Vitiligo

Pigmentation with Vitiligo is a task that allows no room for mistakes and carries great responsibility. Due to the autoimmune nature of the disease, which causes the absence of melanocyte cells in the skin, we may not always achieve the desired result. However, we remain the only specialists who can attempt to help. Depending on how the skin absorbs the pigment, 4 procedures are required with a 30-day interval between each.

  • Dark circles under the eyes

Dark circles under the eyes are a congenital problem related to physiology. The periorbital area is very delicate, and we work very superficially and in stages, applying the pigment evenly. This is the only area where we always use primary anesthesia, and 2 to 4 procedures are required. The result is a very gentle brightening and refreshing of the gaze.

What happens when we want to tan?

A frequently asked question about camouflage is related to tanning.

The tissue of stretch marks, scars, and vitiligo does not darken because it lacks melanin. This means that on tanned skin, the white scar will always be more visible. If the camouflage procedure is done professionally, with soft shading of the borders against the tan, it will always be less visible than without camouflage. When it comes to dark circles under the eyes, the skin hardly tans or only slightly darkens, so when working delicately in this area, there is no reason for concern after sun exposure.

However! You must remember that the pigments we introduce into the skin are chemical compounds and can undergo changes in their formula under the influence of ultraviolet rays, such as lightening more quickly or changing their shade. It is essential to use a high SPF cream.
